Brethren United Mountain Adventure Trip 6 July 22-27, 2012
July 22-27 (Sun-Fri) for rising 7th-10th graders: Brethren Youth Unite! After check-in Sunday at camp playing and preparing, we’ll travel Monday morning to the mountains of North Carolina for a fun week united with campers and leaders from three Church of the Brethren camps. Camp Bethel campers/leaders will join those from Camp Ithiel (FL), Brethren Woods (VA) and our host, Camp Carmel (NC) within view of Grandfather Mountain! We'll play on a natural water slide, hike up Hawksbill Mountain peak past a beautiful waterfall in the Linville Gorge Wilderness, go star gazing, visit a country store, help the local community with a service project, play Frisbee golf, and experience the tree houses, sky bridges and multiple zip lines of The Beanstalk Journey Zip Course! Back at the camp we'll enjoy Bible study, team building activities, group games, GaGa ball and 4-square, music and singing, campfires, worship, cozy cabins and great Camp Carmel hospitality while exploring life in the Church of the Brethren TOGETHER . Rated easy-moderate. Prerequisite: Must be able to swim By May 1 = 395; after May 1 = $445.
