YOUR CAMP DIRECTOR: BARRY
"I've dreamed of becoming a camp director since my teen-age days as a summer counselor. I became a public school teacher (for 10 years) partly in order to have summers off and work at camp. I owe my life to camp ministry: a beautiful, loving wife; two free-spirited, happy sons; life-long friends; and a 1-minute bicycle commute to work each misty morning.
Camp Bethel is a sacred, blessed place. It's been glorious to work with the thousands of faithful supporters, patrons, alumni and volunteers who claim Camp Bethel as their own. Camp Bethel's history has been extraordinary The coming months and years will bring wonderful blessings as the ministries of these sweet, wild 470 acres grow and thrive. Join me as we strive for continued excellence here "in the hills of old Virginia..."
