2011 VOLUNTEER WORKDAYS

 

 

2011 Fall Workday is Saturday, November 5!

 

Please help!  7:30am free breakfast; 1:00pm free lunch; RSVP meals by October 31 to 540-992-2940 or campbetheloffice@gmail.com.

 

For 85 years, Camp Bethel has been maintained and sustained by faithful volunteers LIKE YOU. Your help is needed to prepare camp for the fall/winter conference season: leaf raking, tree & chainsaw work, hauling brush and blocked wood, splitting & stacking firewood, cleaning the RV Village Forest, clearing rain gutters, winterizing facilities, etc. Projects for all skill levels.

 

Workday projects (rain or shine; indoor and outdoor) for all skill levels and all ages including:

Block-haul-split-stack firewood; Several small construction touch-ups & carpentry projects; plumbing repairs; electrical & re-wiring; facility/appliance repairs; Cleaning Gym & cabins-shelters-bathhouses; clearing roofs-gutters-downspouts; de-winterizing bathhouses & shelters; painting; leaves: rake-drag-dispose; clearing trails; moving mulch to areas & spread; Complete new Adventure Village platforms.

 

Please bring supplies such as rakes, blowers, drag tarps, chainsaws, wood splitters, safety gear, ladders, gloves, garden & landscaping gear, tools (construction, repair, electrical, plumbing, etc.), vacuums, blowers, flatbeds, trucks (especially 4x4), cleaning gear & chemicals, brooms, mops, rags... and bring some friends!  Also, please bring three compact-fluorescent light bulbs, minimum 13-watt.
