High School Resident Camp is 6 days and 5 nights of extreme fun and meaningful group activities. You will lodge in a gender-separated cabin and spend each day with your co-ed family-unit of 8-10 campers and 2-4 counselors. Activities for the week include group games, nature, crafts, music and singing, campfire vespers, swimming, low-ropes group challenges, creek-play, Home-in-the-Woods camping skills, hiking the camp trails and a singing hike to Horseshoe Bend, archery, orienteering and geocaching, Morning Watch, Bible study, nightly worship around the campfire, polar bear swims, night activities, special evening programs and a day on the climbing wall and high ropes course, including the Zip Line and the Flying Squirrel! On Tuesday or Wednesday, your family unit will have a cookout in your Home-in-the-Woods and have one or more overnight camp-outs. Resident Camp is a great week of fun and adventure; exploring your extraordinary faith journey TOGETHER! Be here for an awesome week!
High School Resident + Tubing Camp  (for rising 10th-graduation, ages 15-18)
All the best of High School Resident Camp plus the adventure of river tubing!
River Tubing:
It’s our best way to beat the summer heat! Your week includes a fun and relaxing morning of river tubing on the beautiful and historic James River, just 6 miles from Camp Bethel. Let the river do the work as we ride the gentle current through gorgeous scenery over riffles and mini-rapids while keeping cool splashing, swimming and playing. Get creative with your float style or team up with your counselors and new friends to build an ultimate tube-blob-flotilla! Tubes, PFDs and transport provided by our friends at Twin River Outfitters, with counselor leadership provided by Camp Bethel.  Rated easy.
High School Resident + Biking  (for rising 10th-graduation, ages 15-18)
All the best of High School Resident Camp plus the adventure of biking!
Biking:
Spend one day biking down the awesome Virginia Creeper Trail (a historic “rail-to-trail”) with top-grade rented bikes & helmets. This trail winds down through a spectacular mountain gorge with 32 bridge/creek crossings. Along the way, we’ll visit USFS Green Cove Station, an icy cold swimming hole, and eat the best pizza in Virginia.

High School Resident + Advanced Equestrian Camp  (for rising 10th-graduation, ages 15-18)
All the best of Middle School Resident Camp plus the adventure of equestrian!
Equestrian:
Spend time at AP Equestrian center gaining confidence and skills and learning what ‘horse people’ know. This hands-on program for beginners or horse enthusiasts covers horse safety, health and nutrition, grooming and use of equipment so you can tack up and mount for your daily lesson. Long pants and closed-toe shoes required; boots with heel preferred! Helmets, gear and professional leadership provided. Rated easy-moderate.
High School Resident + Climbing Combo: (for rising 10th-graduation, ages 15-18)
All the perks of regular camp, plus your week also includes one full day on our onsite Climbing Course and  two days of adventure outings: Rock Climbing and a field trip to River Rock Climbing Gym in Roanoke VA!

WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING:
"Our son and daughter have been coming to Camp Bethel since they were 5 years old--they are now 13 and 14 years old. We have found that your camp is one of the few that our kids continue to enjoy even as they are older. Other camps (sometimes a lot more expensive) are nice but for some reason the magic of Camp Bethel remains. We also really respect the way that your camp incorporates God and Bible study but in such a way that it is still cool--a rarity these days to find a place where kids can be kids and learn to love God and care for one another in God's creation. Thanks so much for the awesome experience for our kids and the ongoing magic that is Camp Bethel. Thanks, Gina and Chris Engel"
