We strongly recommend all summer staff take steps to get vaccinated as soon as possible. To find easy and FREE vaccination options near you, visit vaccinate.virginia.gov. Having a fully vaccinated staff will make programmatic things like staff housing and staff training significantly easier. All staff will agree to and adhere to a Healthy Behavior Agreement concerning weekends and time off (coming soon). Staff who are vaccinated will follow a separate, more flexible Healthy Behavior Agreement.

Trips & Travel Coordinator (21+):
The Trips Coordinators are expected to work together, as a team of two, to prepare for and drive campers on different adventures throughout the summer. Preparations include: contacting hired outfitters, scheduling the week's trips, gathering permission waivers/health forms for staff and campers, gathering necessary materials for the adventure, keeping camp vehicles clean, performing pre-flight vehicle safety checks, and filling in wherever needed when not on a trip. To be a Trips Coordinator you must be at least 21 years old and have a clean driving record.
No matter how circumstances may change prior to our 2022 summer, we must continue to mitigate the risk of virus transmission from person to person. For this reason, we will continue to implement health-and-safety protocols in 2022. If you can not or will not take these protocols seriously, do not apply.
