We seek skilled construction teams this spring to help us (1) build our new summer camp Adventure Village platform huts, (2) build a new deck at the renovated Bandage Box Cottage, (3) replace boards on the Ark Deck, and (4) design and build one or more outdoor hand-washing troughs with foot controls. We have secured all materials and have begun prepping the sites. Rough plans for the new Adventure Village are HERE, rough image for the new deck at the Bandage Box Cottage is HERE with basic "code" requirements for both HERE.

Virlina Disaster Response Ministries has established 3 dates for combination work-and-training: April 10, May 15, May 22. Work day begins at 8:30am, and work as long as you can. With advance notice, Camp Bethel can provide free overnight lodging and free Saturday lunch at 12:30. Please register yourself and/or your team HERE. Contact VDRM Chair, Eric Anspaugh with questions at eanspaugh@yahoo.com. For overnight lodging and/or meals, contact Barry LeNoir at CampBethelOffice@gmail.com.

BIG THANK YOU to the crew from Cedar Bluff CoB for starting the new deck at the Bandage Box! BIG THANK YOU to the crew from Mount Hermon CoB for the new Adventure Village platform huts!

We can continue building any time volunteers are available, except forSundays.
Rough plans for the new Adventure Village are HERE, rough image for the new deck at the Bandage Box Cottage is HERE with basic "code" requirements for both HERE. Dozens of additional projects and needs are listed below.

With advanced notice, Mickey is available to be "foreman" for construction teams, and we can provide free meals. Our hope is to complete the Bandage Box deck before May 23 and the new Adventure Village before May 27.

Lastly, we're also assembling dozens of Box-Fan Air Filters to improve ventilation in sleeping areas during summer camp. Video at https://youtu.be/aw7fUMhNov8, and we're purchasing and asking for donations of 20” box fans; 20”x20”x2” MERV-13 air filters; adhesive weather stripping; and duct-tape. Links for donating these items are on our Amazon Needs List at https://a.co/5qG5JYq.

Here's an odd request: We need help supplying THOUSANDS of Tree Cookies for our 2021 programs. Do you have trees/branches, a chop-saw, and a drill? 3-5 inches in diameter and less than 1/2 inch thick. We use over 4,000 yearly for nametags, environmental ed programs (like KinderCritters), crafts and more. Any hard wood and any cross-cut showing tree rings works ideally for us. Cut 'em, drill 'em, deliver 'em, or call with questions (540-992-2940). THANK YOU!

WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING:
"Our son and daughter have been coming to Camp Bethel since they were 5 years old--they are now 13 and 14 years old. We have found that your camp is one of the few that our kids continue to enjoy even as they are older. Other camps (sometimes a lot more expensive) are nice but for some reason the magic of Camp Bethel remains. We also really respect the way that your camp incorporates God and Bible study but in such a way that it is still cool--a rarity these days to find a place where kids can be kids and learn to love God and care for one another in God's creation. Thanks so much for the awesome experience for our kids and the ongoing magic that is Camp Bethel. Thanks, Gina and Chris Engel"
