Adventure Counselor Description (ages 18+):
Adventure counselors perform the same responsibilities as Senior Counselors - supervision of campers in their assigned unit, leading various camp activities, ensuring campers are having a fun and SAFE camp experience. Adventure Counselors are typically returning staff members who are familiar with our camp culture and excited to share that with others. Our Adventure counselors participate in Coordinator Training (the week before Staff Training) because part of their job description is to help mentor, train, and support our Senior Counselors, Junior Counselors and CITs. Adventure Counselors are expected to train Summer Staff in all things camp alongside Coordinators. Additionally, Adventure Counselors may have priority on our off-site adventure camps and trips such as our River Adventure Program, Caving, Climbing, and our Mountains to Beach to Bay trip.
