Summer Grounds Crew:
Responsibilities are assigned by Mickey Nichols, Camp Bethel's Facilities Manager, and include: mowing and trimming (weed-eater); assist with maintaining swimming pool (skimming, vacuuming, emptying skimmer buckets); leaf and debris removal from buildings, roads and walkways; using camp vehicle/truck to haul firewood and reload firewood supplies at various sheds/circles through campus; painting of facilities, decks and benches; trash removal and recycling; assisting Facilities Manager and Grounds Crew with various other daily tasks.

Applicant Directions:

2. Along with your application answers, email or mail to Camp Bethel: a photocopy/scan/image showing your photo ID or your driver's license. This can be a digital photo of your ID or license (clear and readable), emailed to Camp Bethel at [email protected]. Driver's license is NOT required for employment.
3. If hired, because you would be working on site while children are present, we must conduct a comprehensive background check. This requires you to provide your date of birth and social security number, but ONLY IF AND AFTER YOU ARE HIRED.
4. Upon submitting your application (button below), our office will contact you via email within 1 week.
- Dates of employment: May 1, 2024 - August 9, 2024
- Additional workweeks are available based on employee availability and site needs.
- $13.50 per hour, up to 8 hours daily, Mondays through Fridays.
- Your option: Day begins as early as 7:00am and no later than 8:30am; and day can end as early as 12:30pm and no later than 5:30pm. Maximum 8 hours daily.
- Optional meals provided on weekdays May 27-August 9 at no cost: breakfast 8:00am; lunch 12:30pm; dinner 5:30pm; 30 minutes each.
- Position does not include onsite residency.

- Availability to work a minimum 3 of 5 weekdays per week (excluding holidays) from May 27 through August 9. Schedule is flexible; arrange with Mickey Nichols, Facilities Manager. Additional workweeks are available based on employee availability and site needs.
- Age 16+ and photo ID required.
- General ability to complete above “Responsibilities” is required, and the ability to stand/walk and maintain a moderate level of physical activity for 7-8 hours daily is required.
- Because we care for children during our summer camps, we cannot hire anyone who has been convicted of any crime, felony, child abuse, or sexual abuse.
- Camp Bethel prohibits on site use of tobacco/vaping/nicotine, alcohol, cannabis, drugs, and profanity.
