Backpacking Adventure Trips (for rising 8th-12th graders, ages 13-18)
Sunday 2:00pm through Friday 6:30pm
Week 3 = June 23-28
Week 7 = July 21-26

Backpacking Adventure Trips   (for rising 8th-12th graders, ages 13-18)

Ounce for ounce and day by day this journey is the best adventure we offer: a 6-day, 5-night backpacking trek. Backpacking is a dynamic group experience unequaled by any other program, and each day, mile and footstep reveals powerful life lessons along our journey. We’ll parallel our hike to the disciples’ discoveries during their journey with Jesus (read Luke 24:13-35). Each trip is suitable for beginners and great for returning campers who aspire for leadership. Our trip will range 30-50 miles through lush forest valleys and over spectacular mountain-top views. Join your experienced WFA-trained counselors for this extraordinary journey of discovery as we hike, camp, cook, share and grow together along the white blazes; and learn cool lifelong outdoor skills. Hammock and rain-fly required! A detailed gear guide will follow your sign up. If you need one, camp can provide a pack. Both trips are co-ed, and each trip hikes a different trail section. Rated moderate with several daily challenging moments; occasional difficult moments.  Learn more about Why, How, and What we do during Summer Camps including a complete activities list.

WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING:
"Our son and daughter have been coming to Camp Bethel since they were 5 years old--they are now 13 and 14 years old. We have found that your camp is one of the few that our kids continue to enjoy even as they are older. Other camps (sometimes a lot more expensive) are nice but for some reason the magic of Camp Bethel remains. We also really respect the way that your camp incorporates God and Bible study but in such a way that it is still cool--a rarity these days to find a place where kids can be kids and learn to love God and care for one another in God's creation. Thanks so much for the awesome experience for our kids and the ongoing magic that is Camp Bethel. Thanks, Gina and Chris Engel"
