INFORMATION Camp Bethel Summer Kitchen Staff is a team of 4 people per shift who are responsible for preparing and serving meals for our camp population of up to 200 people each week (typically 150 people per week). Individual tasks vary based on skill sets and areas of interest and include basic food and beverage preparation, washing and putting away dishes, cleaning food prep areas and equipment, stocking and shelving supplies, sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, and trash removal. Training in all job duties will be provided; no prior cooking experience is necessary. Ability to stand and maintain a moderate level of physical activity for 6-7 hours daily is required. And, we enjoy making each day FUN! It's CAMP, after all!
Camp Bethel (Fincastle, VA) is the outdoor ministry of the Virlina District Church of the Brethren. Our mission is to foster and build relationships with God, with each other, and all of God’s creation. We realize our mission through our Christian camping programs, our services, and making our facilities available to all people.
AVAILABLE POSITIONS 5-day morning shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00am-1:30pm. $85 per day/shift ($425 per week), 5 days per week for 9-12 weeks, May 25 - August 9. Breakfast and lunch provided.
6-day afternoon shift, Sunday-Friday, 1:00pm-7:30ish. $85 per day/shift ($510 per week), 6 days per week for 9-12 weeks, May 25 - August 9. Lunch and dinner provided.
