Counselors in Training (ages 15-17):
In order to apply, Counselors in Training (CITs) must be enrolled in at least one summer camp program (for which you are age-eligible). CITs can volunteer for one to four weeks under the supervision of adult summer staff who act as mentors to facilitate growth and competence in excellent counseling skills. There is a separate CIT Training and Practicum to teach CITs specific skills they will need to assist counselors. During a camp week, a CIT works with a team of senior/adventure counselors to keep campers safe, act as a role model, and guide campers through the schedule/activities they have planned together.
