Elementary Resident + Equestrian  (for rising 3rd-6th graders)
All the best of Elementary Resident Camp plus an equestrian adventure!
Equestrian:
Spend time at AP Equestrian center gaining confidence and skills and learning what ‘horse people’ know. This hands-on program for beginners or horse enthusiasts covers horse safety, health and nutrition, grooming and use of equipment so you can tack up and mount for your daily lesson. Long pants and closed-toe shoes required; boots with heel preferred! Helmets, gear and professional leadership provided. Rated easy-moderate.
Elementary Resident + River Tubing (for rising 3rd-6th graders)
All the best of Elementary Resident Camp plus a tubing adventure!
River Tubing:
It’s our best way to beat the summer heat! Your week includes a fun and relaxing day of river tubing on the beautiful and historic James River, just 6 miles from Camp Bethel. Let the river do the work as we ride the gentle current through gorgeous scenery over riffles and mini-rapids while keeping cool splashing, swimming and playing. Get creative with your float style or team up with your counselors and new friends to build an ultimate tube-blob-flotilla! Tubes, PFDs and transport provided by Twin River Outfitters, with counselor leadership provided by Camp Bethel.  Rated easy.
Elementary Adventure  (for rising 3rd-6th graders, ages 8-12)
Your week includes all the classic fun and activities of regular Resident Camp but with the added FUN of living in the Wilson Creek Adventure Village!  Explorer Camps are for “tough” Elementary campers who are comfortable living out-of-doors and ready for the next level of camp adventure.  You will truly live as a Christian body in a co-ed Unit of 8-10 campers with 2-4 counselors in one of our creek-side Adventure Villages in our vast and beautiful riparian forest. Each A.V. includes a boys’ hut, a girls’ hut (both with bunk beds, mattresses, & personal screening) and a dining shelter with a fire circle, all by the clean waters of Wilson Creek. Our platform huts have metal roofs and open ends for free air flow.  You’ll eat most meals in the Ark, swim in the pool, attend all-camp events, and have access to all the amenities of the camp (including showers!).  You and your unit will plan your week’s activities including group games, crafts, songs, Bible lessons, swimming, nature lessons and exploration, creek-play, hiking the camp trails, orienteering, parachute games, GaGa Ball, 9-Square & 4-Square, 3 delicious meals, archery, climbing wall, and more. Super FUN for campers who don’t want to wait until Middle School for Adventure Village living!  Be here for an awesome week!

WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING:
"Our son and daughter have been coming to Camp Bethel since they were 5 years old--they are now 13 and 14 years old. We have found that your camp is one of the few that our kids continue to enjoy even as they are older. Other camps (sometimes a lot more expensive) are nice but for some reason the magic of Camp Bethel remains. We also really respect the way that your camp incorporates God and Bible study but in such a way that it is still cool--a rarity these days to find a place where kids can be kids and learn to love God and care for one another in God's creation. Thanks so much for the awesome experience for our kids and the ongoing magic that is Camp Bethel. Thanks, Gina and Chris Engel"
