Registration is CLOSED. Winter Camp is FULL!
YES, Winter Camp is ON! Updates and Reminders
We WILL hold Winter Camp this weekend, February 5-6 at Camp Bethel, 10:00am check-in on Saturday through 2:00pm pick-up on Sunday.
We have closely monitored conditions and recommendations from the VDH and CDC, and we feel we can safely provide this in-person program with minimal risk to your child. HOWEVER, if you do not wish to send your child OR if your child/family has an increased risk in case of exposure OR if your child has been exposed-or-symptomatic, you can cancel attendance with full refund if you have already paid. If you choose to cancel, please let us know before Friday, February 4 at 3:00pm, and also let your child's cabin mate/friends know of your decision.
CLARIFICATION: You only have to do ONE of the following: (A) Good = 7-day Symptom Screening Form (Jan 30 thru Feb 5), OR (B) Better = proof of negative test (either home (rapid) test or PCR test), OR BEST = proof of Vaccination.
To help check-in go smoothly and quickly, do the following ASAP:
1. If you haven't yet, read/save your Winter Camp Confirmation Packet HERE.
2. Be sure you are completing your 7-day Symptom Screening Form (Jan 30 thru Feb 5), which is page 6 of THIS PACKET.
3. OR, upload your proof of vax OR negative test (Feb 3-4-5) and (if needed) your Medication Instructions Form at our UPLOAD LINK HERE. YES, a negative home (rapid) test is sufficient.
4. If you have not yet already paid, please pay $75 per camper before Feb 4 at 3:00pm using the "Pay Now" button on our Winter Camp Page.
5. Need a Campership? Email Barry at CampBethelOffice@gmail.com with your request and he will confirm via email.
Reminder to pack/bring 2 or 3 cloth reusable facemasks (easy-on & easy-off), OR 4 disposable facemasks, or BOTH. N95 or KN95 are better! Masks must fit over nose and mouth. We will mask while indoors as much as possible except for bedtime.
Dress & pack for the weather! Most of the snow is melting, and Thursday and Friday's rain will make the ground even more soppy and muddy. We'll try our best to stay clean and dry, but we plan to be outdoors as much as possible. We recommend sending an extra pair of dry shoes and an extra pair of dry and warm socks. We WILL be outdoors in the early morning and after dark.
Arrive no earlier than 10:00am and no later than 10:30am Saturday, February 5. "Drive-Through" Check-in and initial Health Checks will be in the paved Ark Parking Lot, and yes, there will be a short wait in your line of cars. Have your completed forms and medication (if any) ready. See the “Check-in Procedures” on page 5 of your Packet. After the drive-through check-in, you will drive your camper and their luggage to their cabin or lodge, meet the counselors, and move the camper into their cabin. We will implement a one-way loop through camp (office to Ark Parking Lot, to Heritage/Gym, past Forest Lodge, to gravel over bridge past Heifer Shed and Craft House, etc.) During the move-in process, ALL persons (despite vaccination status) must wear a facemask. (If you need a restroom, the Gym Bathhouse beside Deer Field is our open “visitor” restroom.)
Please call or email Barry if you have any questions or need a Campership, 540-992-2940 or CampBethelOffice@gmail.com.
See you here after 10:00am on Saturday, February 5!
Together, in Christ our hope,
Barry LeNoir

Winter Camp, February 5-6, 2022 No-Risk Policy
If you must cancel your Winter Camp Registration, you have two options: (1) Donate part or all of the registration fee to help ensure Camp Bethel is here for you in summer of 2022, or (2) we will FULLY REFUND your $75 Winter Camp fee. We just need to hear from you at least 24 hours prior to the start of your camp (no later than 10:00am on February 4), and sooner if possible. Please notify the camp office 540-992-2940 or CampBethelOffice@gmail.com ASAP if your camper will not attend this session.
Late arrival and early departure is discouraged, but allowed in case of illness, family emergency or conditions beyond control. However, because staff, food, and supplies are already secured, we cannot provide pro-rated refunds for partial camp attendance before or after your camper has arrived unless Camp Bethel cancels the program. If inclement weather forces us to cancel, your camp payment will be refunded.
Since we rescheduled Winter Camp from Jan 8-9 to February 5-6, you also have the option to transfer your payment, get a refund, or a combination donation/refund. Use the "Transfer, Donate, or Refund" button below to indicate your choice. Thank you!
